Richard Rhodes practices in the areas of Business Law (Corporate Commercial Law) and Real Estate Law. In the corporate/commercial area, Rick acts for many closely held companies and provides the full range of solicitor’s services required for the successful operation of a business. These include incorporations, shareholders’ agreements, corporate reorganizations, financings, and business purchases and sales.
Rick also provides comprehensive services in the Real Estate area and, in particular, assists with large and small real estate developments, including the subdivision of bare land and single and multi-phase strata subdivisions. He also prepares all manner of real estate related documents such as leases, purchase contracts, disclosure statements, mortgages, options to purchase, easements, and covenants.
Rick is a graduate of the UBC Law School and has been solving problems for the business and development community in Nanaimo for more than 35 years. He has practiced with Ramsay Lampman Rhodes since 1983. He became a partner in 1988 and is currently associate counsel.
